Marc Nelson clarified his involvement in the marital dispute between former beauty queen Maggie Wilson and businessman Victor Consunji, stressing that the well-being of their son Connor is his primary concern.
On his Instagram Stories on Wednesday night, Jan. 22, Nelson explained the reason behind testifying against Wilson in the estranged couple’s custody battle, saying Connor is suffering the effects of the estranged couple’s dispute in the public eye, noting that it can be “potentially harmful in the long run.”

To clear things up, I would like to clarify some points regarding this,” he began.

He has already experienced many changes in his life and, unfortunately, has to navigate them publicly,” he further explained. “At his age, he is beginning to build his identity and form new connections in school and within his community, which makes these public stories potentially harmful in the long run.”
Nelson claimed that he had a “one-on-one conversation” with Connor, saying that the latter was allegedly “upset” about the posts made by Wilson as he was put in an “uncomfortable position.”

He specifically shared that these posts place him in an uncomfortable position, drawing unwanted attention and questions from both peers and adults—attention he neither likes nor wants,” he said.
Article continues after this advertisementThe model-TV host then reiterated that his testimony against Wilson was based on what Connor allegedly told him, in hopes of [preserving] the latter’s well-being. He added that while he knows Wilson and Consunji, he has “no desire” to be involved in their marital dispute.

Nelson made headlines after Wilson claimed that the TV host testified against her in favor of Consunji. To recall, the businessman filed a petition for a Temporary and a Permanent Protection Order under the Violence Against Women and their Children Act (VAWC) of 2004 against the ex-beauty queen, noting that the latter’s post caused emotional distress to Connor.
