Mumbai's dreams of completing an unprecedented domestic Slam are hanging by a thread. They need a win against Saurashtra to keep themselves in the Vijay Hazare Trophy knock-outs race. The all-conquering Shreyas Iyer & Co. have already won a domestic treble this season, claiming the Ranji Trophy, Irani Cup, and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT). Add Vijay Hazare Trophy to those, and they will become the first side to do a quadruple in Indian domestic cricket.

But their quarter-final qualification chance is no longer in their hands. Even if Mumbai beat Saurashtra, they would need one of Punjab and Karnataka -- already with 20 points each -- to lose their respective match and drop the Net Run Rate substantially.

Of course, Mumbai can still win the group if both Punjab and Karnataka suffer big defeats in their respective final group matches.

Here's how Group C teams stand

The top two teams from each group will progress to the knock-outs with the top five group winners automatically making the quarter-finals.

They will be joined by the best of the second-ranked teams in the last eight. The other four second-ranked teams will play in the pre-quarterfinals with the winners completing the quarter-final line-up.

Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25 Live Streaming And Telecast Details

The Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25 group stage matches will not be telecast on TV or streamed online. The knockout matches will be streamed live and telecast on JioCinema and Sports18 channels.

The knockouts will begin on January 9, 2025, with preliminary quarter-finals. The final is scheduled for January 19. All knockout matches will be played in Vadodara.

Defending champions India will now face off against Chinalolliplay, who beat Pakistan in the first semi-final.
